Synaptics Tap To Click Aggravation
Ever had the problem of the cursor jumping to somewhere else on your laptop while you are typing? Messes you up doesn’t it? Well, the answer is in the Tap to Click settings of your Synaptics touchpad drivers. It drove my wife crazy for the longest time but I hadn’t looked at it until a teacher asked about the same problem. Here is how to fix your problem:
- Open Control Panel
- Select the Synaptic applet
- Choose the Device Settings tab
- Select Tapping
- Uncheck Enable Tap
That should fix your typing ghost and help your sanity. If you need the driver you can download it from the Synaptic support page.
